Rome for the weekend!

Roma_2.jpgRome was everything I expected, the style, the charm, the beauty. Unfortunately the first two days in Rome it poured all day and night, which was very upsetting. However, I was still able to see a lot of different sites and enjoy the city. We had a guided tour and I was able to see the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Palazzo Montecitorio (the Italian Parliament Building), the Temple Adriano, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, and the Ponte Sisto, to name a few.
On Saturday we spent the entire day at Vatican City, where we toured the inside of the Basilica St. Peter’s, saw the Sistina Cappella, and toured the Castel Sant’ Angelo. On the last day we went to the Colosseum. A weekend is definitely not enough time to see what Rome has to offer, the amount of things we didn’t get to see was a lot, but it gives me an excuse to come back to Roma!
