“St. Michael” Rome, Italy

The statues in Rome were absolutely amazing, along with the fountains scattered among the city. Florence only has one prominent fountain, the Neptune Fountain, so Rome was quite different in that sense. The statue above is at the Castel Sant’Angelo in Rome, and pictured is St. Michael. The statue was done by Raffaello da Montelupo, originally a native of Florence. Roma_1.jpg
