So where did we go in Ecuador?

Ecuador_Infographic.jpgA visual of where the group traveled to during the course of the week. The majority of the trip was spent in the surrounding area of Angamarca, which is where the school and the house we were staying at were located. Ecuador is significantly smaller than its surrounding South American countries, with only 109,000 square miles. In relation to the U.S., Ecuador is about the size of the state of Colorado, which is around 104,000 square miles. Even though Ecuador is so small it has the largest biodiversity per square kilometer of any nation. There are 1,600 different types of bird species, 16,000 types of plant species and over 6,000 variations of butterflies.
